MUM

MUM was easily our biggest undertaking and one we learnt an enormous amount from. When WASSI purchased MUM the aircraft was in pieces.

MUM is an iconic aircraft, dear to the hearts of many Walsh students and staff.  The decision was made to bring it back, better than ever.  While a long and at times testing process, MUM is now an integral part of The Walsh and one of the best C152 Aerobats in New Zealand, if not the world. 

We were very fortunate to receive the support of a number of members who knew MUM and supported the restoration.  Blue Flame Pearl was the colour chosen to repaint MUM in the WASSI scheme to acknowledge that a large part of its life was spent flying around Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty.

We are proud to carry the 'Bennachie Aviator' on MUM's cowling.
