Thanks to Lion Foundation and Pub Charity!
WASSI exists to put student pilots of the Walsh Memorial Scout Flying School, and others, in the safest aircraft we can.
With funds raised from individual and corporate donations we are restoring and equipping Piper PA38 Tomahawks and Cessna 152s to the highest safety standards. Such as high vis paint schemes, LED lights, excellent radios and new or low time engines.
Some time ago we received a grant from Lion Foundation for a new engine for our first aircraft, PA38 ZK-FML. Earlier this year we received another $20,000 grant from Lion Foundation, which we are using toward a new engine for our second aircraft, a Cessna 152 Aerobat, ZK-MUM.
We have just now been fortunate to receive a grant of $30,000 from Pub Charity, which allows us to complete the purchase of MUM's engine.
WASSI are always looking for further support toward our goals. If you can help or have suggestions, please contact us.
~ Woody.
